Musical Order of Service
Peace of Mind Musical Services provides comforting music during your loved one’s funeral or memorial service. For indoor services at locations that have a piano and/or audio equipment set up, the following segments of the service will include music:
Prelude
Piano music will begin to play about 10-15 minutes before the service begins. This gives those attending a signal that it’s time to be seated. The music will play until the family walks in.
Processional
Piano music will play as the family walks in to be seated. Music during this part of the service provides a gentle cover for tears to flow freely. The song will end once everyone is seated.
Solo
Either a vocal solo or piano solo will be played in honor of your loved one, according to your preference. Up to 2 solos per service can be provided. Song selections are determined in advance.
Recessional
As the service concludes, piano music gently plays in the background as the family leaves the room.
Having music at the beginning, middle, and end of the service provides an emotional structure that facilitates comfort and ease in each person attending.
